Description

The Ascent Max Ductless Fume Hood (ADC) from Esco Technologies is a self-contained enclosure designed to protect users from chemical vapors without requiring external ductwork. Fumes are captured and filtered through a selection of eight specialized Nanocarb carbon filters, each tailored to adsorb specific groups of chemicals. A companion mobile application, FiltraCheck, is available for iOS and Android devices to assist in selecting the appropriate filter and estimating its service life. The hood's containment performance is certified to the ASHRAE 110 standard. Its interior design incorporates AutoPurge slots along the rear wall to minimize stagnant air pockets. The viewing sash consists of a vertical sliding glass panel set at a 5-degree angle for improved ergonomics. The exterior finish features an ISOCIDE antimicrobial powder coating. Illumination is provided by an LED light system delivering an intensity greater than 800 lux (74 foot-candles). Operational control and monitoring are managed by the Sentinel Silver microprocessor system, which provides real-time airflow data. Standard exterior dimensions are 29.0 inches in depth and 57.3 inches in height, plus the height of an optional base cabinet. The unit is available in multiple widths: 40.8, 52.8, 64.8, and 76.8 inches. Corresponding interior working dimensions are 23.5 inches deep by 30.1 inches high, with width options of 38.0, 50.0, 62.0, and 74.0 inches. The face velocity is maintained at 80 feet per minute (0.40 meters per second).
