Apertureless NSOM Probe

Nanonics Imaging Ltd supplies apertureless NSOM probes for near-field scanning optical microscopy. These probes are designed for techniques that do not rely on a light-transmitting aperture at the probe tip. Instead, they typically utilize a sharp, metal-coated tip or a cantilever with a roughened surface to interact with the optical near-field of a sample. The product line includes cantilevered and roughened probe types, with roughened variants available with resonant frequencies ranging from 20 to 390 kHz. Probes can be fabricated with gold or silver nanoparticles, which are particularly applicable for research involving surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) and other apertureless NSOM methodologies. These probes are engineered for compatibility with Nanonics' own NSOM microscope systems.
