Description

The AP Series Ductless Fume Hood from Airfiltronix is a self-contained enclosure designed to protect laboratory personnel from exposure to chemical vapors and particulates. Its primary feature is the recirculation of filtered air, eliminating the need for external ductwork and facilitating flexible installation. A Variable Air Volume (VAV) system continuously monitors face velocity via a sensor, automatically adjusting fan speed to maintain a consistent, safe airflow of 100 ±20 FPM (0.5 ±0.1 m/s). This system, along with alarms for low velocity, enhances operator safety. The main structure and sealed work surface are constructed from chemically resistant polypropylene. Filter media, which can include specialized carbon and HEPA filters, is selected based on the specific contaminants present and is replaceable from the front of the unit. Other features include a 9-inch color touchscreen for monitoring system status and fan operation time, energy-efficient EC fan technology, LED lighting, and a tempered glass sliding sash. Available in 36-inch and 48-inch widths, the hood operates on a standard 110V, 60Hz single-phase power supply.
