Description

Shimadzu's AOC-30 series is an autoinjector and autosampler system that automates sample introduction for gas chromatography. It is engineered to enhance analytical reproducibility and reduce manual workload. A key feature is a proprietary injection method that minimizes septum damage and inlet liner contamination. The system is compatible with specialized septa that reportedly allow for up to 1000 injections before requiring replacement. It includes advanced sample washing capabilities with customizable solvent types and sequences. The base single-tower configuration supports the automated analysis of up to 30 samples using 4-mL vials. System capacity can be increased by adding sample towers or samplers; for example, a dual-tower setup accommodates 60 samples, while a dual-sampler system can handle up to 150 samples when using 1.5-mL vials. The compact housing design conserves bench space. Integrated software provides preset injection methods for simplified method development and an overlap function to optimize throughput by coordinating sample pretreatment with ongoing GC analysis.
