Andrew+ Pipetting Robot

Manufacturer: Waters Andrew Alliance S.A.

SKU: Andrew+

Description

The Andrew+ is a compact, benchtop pipetting robot designed to automate liquid handling procedures. It utilizes electronic pipettes and modular labware holders, known as Dominos, to execute protocols. The system is part of the OneLab software ecosystem, where users can graphically design workflows without needing programming or robotics expertise. It is compatible with a wide range of applications including bioanalysis, drug discovery, clinical research, proteomics, metabolomics, and general sample preparation for LC-MS. The robot offers a broad dynamic volume range, capable of dispensing from 0.2 µL to 10 mL using single or multichannel Andrew Alliance pipettes. Its compact dimensions, approximately 43 cm wide by 45.5 cm deep by 53.5 cm high with arms folded, allow it to fit on standard lab benches and inside many biosafety cabinets or refrigerated environments (capable of operating at 4°C). A typical configuration with two rows of Dominos can accommodate various labware, such as microplates, Falcon tubes, or microtubes. The system includes a hand unit equipped with a high-resolution camera and white LED lighting for labware detection. An optional OLM module features an additional camera and a Class II red laser for liquid level sensing. The platform emphasizes reproducibility and traceability, and its modular architecture allows for expansion with additional devices for heating, shaking, or transport to create more comprehensive walk-away automation solutions.
