ALPHA II FTIR Spectrometer
Manufacturer: Bruker Optics
SKU: ALPHA II
Description
The ALPHA II is a compact Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer designed for routine analysis and quality control applications. It incorporates an integrated panel PC with a touch-based interface, the OPUS-TOUCH software, which is structured to guide users through measurement and reporting processes. The optical system employs a RockSolid interferometer and a diode laser for high wavenumber accuracy and stability. Standard configuration includes a KBr beamsplitter and windows, providing a spectral range from 350 to 8000 cm⁻¹. An optional high-humidity optical package with ZnSe components offers a range of 500 to 6000 cm⁻¹. The instrument achieves a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 55,000:1 and a resolution better than 2 cm⁻¹, with an option for resolution better than 0.75 cm⁻¹. A range of interchangeable QuickSnap sampling modules supports various techniques, including transmission, attenuated total reflection (ATR), and diffuse reflection, accommodating solid, liquid, and gaseous samples.
