AllerGard^™ ES NU-620 Containment Animal Transfer Station

Description

The NU-620 series is a console-style containment animal transfer station that uses a 'push-pull' airflow mechanism. A supply fan draws air through a pre-filter and pushes it through a supply HEPA filter to create a sterile, clean air environment over the work zone. A separate exhaust system, powered by a DC ECM motor, then pulls this air down through slots in the work surface, containing allergens and particulates before the air passes through an exhaust pre-filter and an exhaust HEPA filter. This design is intended to provide a protected area for small animal cage changing and transfer while controlling allergen release. The dual-sided cabinet configuration offers access flexibility in space-constrained vivariums. The unit includes LED lighting and is available in various sizes, as indicated by the NU-620 Series catalog number. It is critical to note that this device is not a biological safety cabinet and is not rated for containment of biohazardous agents as defined by CDC/NIH guidelines; its primary purpose is allergen containment during animal handling procedures.
