Description

This version of the animal transfer station is configured specifically for use with Innovive disposable caging systems designed for mice. It employs a controlled airflow system, with an air inflow rate of 75 feet per minute (0.38 m/s) in a single-sided configuration and 25 fpm (0.13 m/s) when accessed from two sides. The design creates a clean, protected environment for transferring mice between Innovive cages, aiming to minimize the risk of cross-contamination and exposure to external pathogens. Simultaneously, the inward airflow helps contain mouse allergens and particulate matter within the cabinet, reducing the exposure risk for laboratory personnel. The workstation is tailored to the scale and procedures of mouse colony management, providing a dedicated space for cage changing and animal manipulation that integrates with the specific Innovive cage platform.
