Description
Nova Biomedical's Allegro is a compact point-of-care analyzer designed for use in clinical settings such as physician offices. The device measures 20 cm (8 inches) in width. It utilizes single-use cartridges or test strips to perform analyses on small sample volumes: 1.2 µL to 5 µL of whole blood or 5 µL of urine. The test menu includes measured parameters for monitoring glycemic control (HbA1c, Glucose), assessing kidney function (Creatinine, Urine Albumin), evaluating cardiac risk (Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides), and measuring inflammation (CRP). It also provides calculated results such as eGFR and albumin/creatinine ratios. The system is operated with capillary blood from a fingerstick, which eliminates the need for venipuncture. Please note that this analyzer is not currently available for sale in the United States or Canada.
