The Airstream G4 Class III Biological Safety Cabinet from Esco Technologies offers maximum containment for handling hazardous biological agents up to Biosafety Level 4. This cabinet provides a physically sealed, gas-tight environment, ensuring the highest level of protection for the operator, the product, and the external laboratory. It is available in two primary sizes: a 4-foot model (AC3-4B9 G4) and a 6-foot model (AC3-6B9 G4). For the 4-foot unit, exterior dimensions are 72.0 inches wide, 32.4 inches deep, and 62.2 inches high. The 6-foot unit measures 96.1 inches wide, 32.4 inches deep, and 62.2 inches high. Corresponding interior work zone dimensions are 48.0 inches wide by 28.5 inches deep by 30.6 inches high for the 4-foot model, and 72.0 inches wide by 28.5 inches deep by 30.6 inches high for the 6-foot model. The system can be configured for ductless operation with integral filtration or exhausted via a canopy connection. Operator interaction occurs through attached arm-length gauntlets, which are designed for ergonomic comfort. A safety pass-through box, typically located on the right side of the cabinet, allows for the secure transfer of materials into and out of the contained work zone without compromising the sealed environment.
