Esco Technologies' Airstream Class II, Type A2 (AC2) G4 Biosafety Cabinet integrates advanced control technology with core safety features for laboratory containment work. This model is part of the G4 series, which emphasizes user interface and connectivity. The cabinet is designed with a compact and low-height profile. Specific exterior and interior dimensions vary according to the selected model. It maintains a standard Class II, Type A2 airflow pattern with an inflow velocity of 0.53 meters per second (105 feet per minute). A central feature is the Centurion 7-inch capacitive touchscreen LCD control panel, which is positioned for easy access and operation. The interface is designed to be intuitive, with illustrative guides and optional Wi-Fi connectivity for monitoring. The cabinet employs an energy-efficient DC-ECM blower and includes dimmable LED lighting with a standby mode to reduce energy consumption. Protection is provided by an ULPA filtration system. The interior features an antimicrobial coating, a durable steel plenum construction, and double-layer side walls designed to maintain negative pressure. Ergonomic elements include a raised armrest and an interior designed with curved corners, a dished tray, and an angled drain pan to facilitate cleaning.
