Description

The NuAire AireGard ES NU-340 is a horizontal laminar airflow workstation designed to provide a clean ISO Class 5 (ISO 14644-1) environment for product protection. It is suitable for applications such as preparing injectable pharmaceuticals, IV solutions, tissue culture, and handling sensitive optics or microelectronics. The unit directs a horizontal stream of HEPA-filtered air across the work surface to shield materials from particulate contamination. It is important to note that this horizontal flow design does not protect the operator; therefore, the workstation is not intended for use with biological agents classified as Risk Group 1 through 4 by the CDC. Exterior dimensions range from 38 to 74 inches wide, 32 inches deep, and 75.8 to 81.8 inches high, with corresponding interior work areas from 35.9 to 71.9 inches wide, 19.6 inches deep, and 32 to 38 inches high. A key feature is the HEPEX Zero Leak Airflow System, which employs a vacuum-sealed plenum design to maintain consistent static pressure on the HEPA filter, promoting uniform airflow velocity and reducing vibration and noise from the blower assembly. The workstation includes fluorescent lighting with an available LED option.
