Description

This air quality meter, model PCE-RCM 05, is engineered for continuous monitoring of airborne particulate matter. It specifically measures the mass concentration of PM2.5 and PM10 particles, each across a range of 0 to 999 µg/m³ with a resolution of 1 µg/m³. The device also tracks ambient temperature from 32 to 104°F. Measured values are presented on a color LCD display, with the PM2.5 reading prominently featured. Pictograms and a color-coded system provide an immediate assessment of air quality conditions. The backlit screen is designed for readability from various angles and changes illumination to red when an alarm condition is triggered, indicating elevated particulate levels. Operation is supported by an integrated rechargeable battery, making the unit suitable for desktop use in workplaces, laboratories, or other indoor settings where monitoring dust and fine particle exposure is necessary.
