Description

Agilent ICP-OES Automation Systems provide a consolidated package for automated optical emission spectrometry. These systems integrate an Agilent ICP-OES instrument with several automation modules to streamline sample analysis. The core components are an ICP-OES spectrometer, an SPS 4 autosampler, an Advanced Valve System (AVS 7), and an Advanced Dilution System (ADS 2). The autosampler handles sample presentation for high-throughput, unattended operation. The valve system is intended to double daily sample measurement output and reduce maintenance intervals. The dilution system automates standard preparation and performs reactive dilutions during analysis, potentially eliminating post-run dilution steps. All components are controlled via a single software interface, which is designed to simplify training and includes tools for meeting 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. The integrated approach seeks to increase laboratory productivity, reduce operational costs per sample, and lower consumption of argon, power, and disposable labware. Systems are available based on either the 5800 or 5900 ICP-OES models.
