Description

The Agilent BioTek ELx405 Select is a microplate washer engineered to handle both standard-height and deep-well plates in 96- and 384-well formats. A key feature is its ability to aspirate and dispense fluids into the deeper wells commonly used for sample storage or cell-based assays. The system is available in multiple configurations to address diverse washing needs, such as those in ELISA protocols. It utilizes manifolds with either 96 or 192 tubes and can manage up to four different wash buffers from onboard reservoirs. To simplify maintenance and ensure consistent performance, the ELx405 Select can be equipped with an optional Ultrasonic Advantage system. This patented feature automates the cleaning of the manifold tubes, effectively removing accumulated salts and proteins that could otherwise lead to clogging or cross-contamination.
