Description
Agilent's BioTek Cytation 7 cell imaging multimode reader offers a dual-microscope design, integrating both inverted and upright widefield microscopy with conventional plate reading. The inverted microscope is used for standard sample visualization, while the upright module with reflected light expands the application scope to include techniques such as ELISpot and rapid slide scanning. For multimode detection, the system employs continuously variable bandpass monochromators, providing versatility for fluorescence, luminescence, and UV-Vis absorbance readings. It supports various reading modes, including endpoint, kinetic, spectral scanning, and well area scanning. The instrument is compatible with microplates ranging from 6 to 384 wells for monochromator-based readings and up to 1536 wells for imaging applications. Imaging functionalities are comprehensive, supporting single- and multi-color imaging, time-lapse studies, montage creation, and z-stacking. Control and analysis are handled by the Gen5 software platform, which combines user-friendly operation with robust data processing tools.
