Agilent BioTek 50 TS Washer

Description

The Agilent BioTek 50 TS is a microplate washer capable of handling a variety of plate and strip formats, including 24-well, 96-well, 384-well plates, and microwell strips. It uses several manifold types tailored to different formats: for 96-well washing, options include 8-well (1x8), 2x8-well, 12-well (1x12), and 8-well short tube manifolds; a Dual-Action 16-well manifold is used for both 96- and 384-well washing; and a 4-well manifold is available for 24-well plates. This flexibility makes the system suitable for ELISA, cell-based assay washing, and protocols involving biomagnetic or polystyrene beads and vacuum filtration. A color touchscreen provides the user interface for creating and running protocols. Optional Liquid Handling Control (LHC) software allows for protocol programming and execution from a connected PC. The washer is often paired with detection systems like the Agilent BioTek 800 TS absorbance reader for integrated workflow solutions.
