AFS® D Water Purification Systems

Manufacturer: Merck KGaA

SKU: ZAFS08D0WW / ZAFS16D0WW

Description

Merck KGaA's AFS® D Water Purification Systems are designed to deliver degassed, high-purity water for analytical instruments and laboratory applications with daily demands up to approximately 320 liters. The systems integrate several purification stages: comprehensive pretreatment, advanced reverse osmosis (RO), a Q-Gard® polishing pack, a bactericidal UV lamp, a degassing module, and a final 0.22 µm membrane filter. This multi-barrier approach ensures consistent water quality characterized by a resistivity greater than 15 MΩ·cm at 25°C and a total organic carbon (TOC) level below 30 parts per billion. The produced water meets the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) guidelines for Clinical Laboratory Reagent Water (CLRW). Available in two models with outputs of 8 or 16 liters per hour (corresponding to catalog numbers ZAFS08D0WW and ZAFS16D0WW), the compact units measure 268 mm wide by 426 mm deep by 470 mm high, offering a cost-effective, low-maintenance solution for labs requiring degassed pure water.
