Description

The Active NSOM Probe from Nanonics Imaging Ltd is a specialized nanopipette designed for near-field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM) and ion sensing applications. These probes function as active light sources when their cantilevered or straight nanopipette structures are filled with fluorescent materials. A key feature is their capacity for integration with various chemical sensors, enabling the detection of specific ions such as H+, Na+, K+, Ca2+, and Cl- directly at the nanoscale. Other sensor types can be supplied upon request. The probes are engineered for compatibility with Nanonics NSOM microscope systems and exhibit a resonant frequency range of 20 to 390 kHz when operated in non-contact mode, which is critical for precise topographic imaging.
