Description

The AccuTOF LC-Express is a benchtop time-of-flight mass spectrometer from JEOL USA, engineered for high-speed, high-resolution accurate mass analysis. The standard system configuration includes an orthogonal electrospray ionization (ESI) source, making it well-suited for liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) applications. It supports a scanning speed of up to 16,000 spectra per second and offers a mass resolution greater than 6,000 FWHM. The instrument's design consolidates all necessary components, including vacuum pumps, into a single compact chassis, which helps maintain stable thermal conditions for critical parts like the flight tube. In addition to ESI, the system supports a range of optional ionization sources, such as APCI, micro/nano ESI, and the ambient Direct Analysis in Real Time (DART) source. A notable optional technique is ColdSpray ionization (CSI), developed for analyzing thermally labile compounds like supramolecular assemblies and certain organometallics without degradation. The atmospheric pressure interface allows for easy switching between these ion sources, providing flexibility for diverse analytical challenges in pharmaceutical, chemical, and biochemical research.
