ABR Dedicated Breakthrough Analyzer
Manufacturer: Hiden Isochema
SKU: ABR
Description
The ABR Dedicated Breakthrough Analyzer, manufactured by Hiden Isochema, is a specialized instrument for studying gas adsorption and separation processes. It enables fully programmable control over critical parameters including total pressure (up to 50 bar), gas flow rate, composition, and temperature. The system is optimized for research-scale samples, accommodating interchangeable reactor beds with volumes starting from 2 cc. Samples can be dried in-situ using purge gas or vacuum at elevated temperatures. During analysis, reactive gas mixtures are flowed through the sample bed, and the downstream gas composition is monitored in real-time by an integrated mass spectrometer, which features an optimized sampling interface for rapid signal response with ultra-low dead volume. The ABR is designed for applications such as air separation, CO2 capture and storage, removal of harmful gases from effluent streams, recovery of noble gases, and the upgrading of natural gas or biogas. Its automation allows for programmed switching between purge and process gases, and it supports configurations for both gas-vapor and vapor-vapor separations.
