Description
The AB Series Ductless Fume Hoods, manufactured by Airfiltronix, are self-contained workstations for handling acids and chemical vapors without external exhaust ducting. Constructed from polypropylene for chemical resistance, the hoods include a sealed polypropylene work surface and a tempered glass sliding sash. Two standard interior width sizes are available: 880 mm and 1180 mm. Airflow is maintained at a face velocity of 0.5 m/s (±0.1 m/s) by an energy-efficient EC fan, which draws contaminants through a filtration system. Filtration media, which can include HEPA and activated carbon filters, is selected based on the specific hazards present. A 5-inch color touchscreen provides control and monitors operational parameters such as fan runtime. Filter replacement is performed via rear access.
