Description

Organomation's 80-position MULTIVAP® is a benchtop nitrogen blowdown evaporator configured for processing large batches of small-volume samples. The unit employs a heated aluminum dry block, with a temperature range from 30°C to 120°C, to facilitate the evaporation of solvents, including those with higher boiling points. It is designed to accommodate sample tubes with outside diameters typically between 10 mm and 17 mm, and the system includes a custom-machined heat block tailored to a specific tube size for optimal thermal contact. A key feature is the nitrogen distribution manifold, which uses stainless steel needles to deliver a consistent gas flow to each of the 80 positions. The manifold is equipped with individual toggle switches for each row of ten samples, allowing unused rows to be shut off to conserve nitrogen gas. This instrument is suited for applications requiring the concentration or drying of many samples simultaneously, such as in analytical sample preparation.
