Description

Organomation's MICROVAP is a compact, benchtop nitrogen evaporator configured for processing up to six samples in test tubes or vials. It is designed for laboratories with limited workspace. Evaporation is achieved through a combination of heat supplied by an aluminum dry block and a directed stream of nitrogen gas. The unit includes a set of custom-machined heat block inserts tailored to the user's specified tube size to optimize thermal contact. The gas delivery system consists of a manifold with stainless-steel needles that distribute nitrogen evenly across all positions. This manifold can be raised or lowered as a single unit to simultaneously initiate or halt gas flow to all samples. The digital controller allows for temperature adjustment between 40°C and 130°C, and gas flow is regulated by a meter. A key design feature is the shared heater base across several MICROVAP models, allowing the unit to be converted for use with microplates or a different number of tube positions using conversion kits. The manufacturer also offers unheated and chemically resistant configurations for specialized analyses.
