4titude FrameStar® Breakable Vertically PCR Plate, Low Profile

Description

This is the low-profile variant of the vertically breakable PCR plate. It features a semi-skirted design with 0.1 ml wells and can be separated into eight-tube strips via vertical score lines. The low-profile geometry positions samples closer to the thermal cycler's heated lid, reducing dead air space. This can decrease condensation formation and sample evaporation, which is particularly advantageous for low-volume reactions under 20 µl. The plate has a working volume of less than 100 µl and a total capacity of 200 µl. Its construction uses thin-walled polypropylene wells within a rigid polycarbonate frame, a design intended to prevent strip distortion. The product is free from DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and endotoxins. It includes end tabs and an alphanumeric grid for sample tracking. Available in multiple frame colors with clear or white wells, it fits most thermal cyclers designed for low-profile plates and is compatible with standard multichannel pipettes.
