Description

A low-profile version of the breakable PCR plate, this product features 0.1 ml wells within a polycarbonate frame. It shares the key characteristic of being divisible along both vertical and horizontal scores, enabling users to create 8-tube strips, 12-tube strips, partial strips, or single tubes from a full 96-well plate. The low-profile well geometry reduces the headspace above the sample in a thermal cycler, which can help limit condensation and evaporation, making it suitable for reaction volumes below 100 µl, with a total well capacity of 200 µl. This design is applicable for PCR, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing. The plate is manufactured to be free of DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and endotoxins. The snapping mechanism provides a clean break without the need for scissors, potentially reducing contamination risk. It is compatible with instrumentation designed for non-skirted, low-profile plates and works with standard multichannel pipettes.
