Description

The 4titude FrameStar 96-well skirted PCR plate is designed for polymerase chain reaction, quantitative PCR, and next-generation sequencing workflows. It features a two-component construction with 0.1 ml polypropylene wells housed within a rigid polycarbonate frame. This low-profile design reduces the air gap between the sample and a thermal cycler's heated lid, which helps minimize condensation and sample evaporation, particularly beneficial for reaction volumes under 20 µl. The plate has a working volume of less than 100 µl and a total well capacity of 200 µl. Its rigid skirt provides mechanical stability, reducing warping and making it suitable for automated handling systems. The wells are manufactured to be ultra-smooth and thin-walled for optimal thermal transfer. The product is certified free from DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and endotoxins. It is stackable and includes an alphanumeric grid for sample tracking. Multiple color-coded frame options are available (purple, blue, clear, green, red, black, white), and specific variants include an ethylene oxide-treated plate for forensic applications and an ultra-low DNA binding model for sensitive protocols. The plate is compatible with standard multichannel pipettes.
