Description

This 96-well PCR plate combines ABI instrument compatibility with a structural upstand integrated into the polycarbonate frame. The upstand provides additional rigidity and may facilitate handling or stacking. The plate is designed for direct use in Applied Biosystems thermal cyclers and sequencers with standard 96-well blocks, requiring no adapters. It features standard-profile 0.2 ml polypropylene wells with a working volume under 200 µl and a total capacity of 300 µl. The two-component design—thin-walled wells fused to a stable frame—reduces warping and thermal expansion for consistent cycling performance and improved seal integrity. A cut corner at A12 ensures proper orientation. The plate is free from DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and endotoxins. It is suitable for low-volume PCR, robotic systems, and standard multichannel pipettes. Multiple frame color options are available (purple, blue, clear, green, red, black). An ethylene oxide-treated version is offered for forensic applications, and plates can be barcoded upon request. Note: This plate is not recommended for ABI Fast Block instruments, for which a dedicated Fast Plate is available.
