Description

Designed specifically for Roche LightCycler 96 and 480 instruments (with 96-well block), this 96-well plate features a low-profile design. The shorter 0.1 ml polypropylene wells reduce the air gap between the sample and the instrument's heated lid, which helps minimize condensation during thermal cycling. This is particularly beneficial for low-volume reactions, especially those below 20 µl. The plate has a working volume under 100 µl and a total capacity of 200 µl. It incorporates a rigid polycarbonate frame for mechanical stability and reduced thermal distortion. The semi-skirted format allows for sample tracking via labels or barcodes. The wells are thin-walled and uniform for optimal PCR efficiency. The plate is free from common contaminants like DNase and RNase. It is compatible with robotic systems and standard multichannel pipettes. Standard configuration features clear wells on a clear frame, with an alternative version offering white wells for improved signal-to-noise in fluorescence-based detection. The plate is available in combi packs with appropriate sealing films.
