Description

This 96-well semi-skirted PCR plate from 4titude is engineered for direct compatibility with Applied Biosystems (ABI) thermal cyclers and sequencers featuring standard 96-well blocks. Its two-component construction pairs 0.2 ml polypropylene wells with a rigid polycarbonate frame. This design minimizes warping and thermal expansion during cycling, enhancing seal integrity and result consistency. The plate has a working volume under 200 µl and a total well capacity of 300 µl. A cut corner at position A12 aids orientation. The semi-skirt provides space for labeling or barcoding. The wells are ultra-smooth and thin-walled for efficient thermal transfer in PCR and qPCR applications. The product is certified free from DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and endotoxins. It is suitable for robotic handling and compatible with standard multichannel pipettes. Multiple variants are available, including plates with colored frames (purple, blue, clear, green, red, black), a version with white wells for fluorescent assays, a frosted-well option for certain qPCR instruments, an ultra-low DNA binding model for sensitive applications, and an ethylene oxide-treated option for forensic use.
