Description

This semi-skirted, low-profile 96-well plate is specifically designed for use with ABI® Fast Block thermal cyclers. It features a cut corner at well A1 and includes a frame upstand. The low-profile well design reduces dead space above the sample, which helps prevent condensation and is particularly advantageous for reaction volumes under 20 µl. The working volume is less than 100 µl, with a total well capacity of 200 µl. Constructed with polypropylene wells and a rigid polycarbonate frame, the plate resists warping, making it compatible with robotic systems. The semi-skirt allows for labeling or barcoding. It is stackable and free from common contaminants like DNase and RNase. The ultra-smooth, thin-walled wells are intended for optimal PCR and qPCR results. The frame's stability aids in minimizing thermal expansion and evaporation. It is compatible with standard multichannel pipettes. Standard configuration includes clear wells and a clear frame. Options include white wells for fluorescence assays or frosted wells for compatibility with certain ABI®/Life Technologies® qPCR instruments. The plate is available barcoded on request and can be purchased in combination packs with an optically clear windowed seal.
