4titude FrameStar® 96 Well Semi-Skirted PCR Plate

Description

Designed as a universal semi-skirted plate for standard thermal cyclers, this product offers a balance of stability and labeling space. It incorporates 0.2 ml polypropylene wells within a rigid polycarbonate frame using the two-component FrameStar design. This construction limits warping and distortion, making the plate suitable for robotic handling systems. The semi-skirted format provides a surface for applying labels or barcodes to facilitate sample tracking. The working volume is less than 200 µl, with a total capacity of 300 µl per well. It features a cut corner at well H1 for orientation. The thin-walled, smooth wells are optimized for PCR and qPCR performance. The plate is certified free of DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and endotoxins. Its thermal stability contributes to reduced evaporation and improved seal integrity during cycling. Compatible with standard multichannel pipettes, it is recommended for low-volume PCR. Available with clear wells and a clear frame; a version with white wells is offered for fluorescence-based detection. Barcoding is available upon request.
