Description

This 96-well non-skirted plate features a low-profile design intended to enhance performance in low-volume PCR. The wells have a reduced height compared to standard profiles, which decreases the air gap between the sample and the thermal cycler's heated lid. This modification helps minimize condensation on the well walls, preventing volume loss and potentially increasing reaction efficiency, particularly for volumes below 20 µl. The plate has a working volume under 100 µl and a total well capacity of 200 µl. Its construction uses polypropylene wells and a rigid polycarbonate frame to prevent distortion during thermal cycling, thereby supporting seal integrity. It is universally compatible with major thermal cyclers. The plate is contaminant-free, featuring ultra-smooth, thin-walled wells for effective thermal transfer. A cut corner at H1 aids orientation. It works with standard multichannel pipettes and is recommended for low-volume applications. Frame color options for the clear-well variety include purple, blue, and clear. A version with a black frame and white wells is available for fluorescence assays requiring optimized optical properties.
