4titude FrameStar® 96 Well Non-Skirted PCR Plate

Description

A universal 96-well non-skirted plate suitable for use with most standard thermal cyclers. It is constructed with 0.2 ml polypropylene wells mounted within a sturdy polycarbonate frame. The two-part FrameStar design provides mechanical rigidity, reducing plate warping during PCR to help maintain seal integrity and limit sample evaporation. The working volume is less than 200 µl, with a total capacity of 300 µl per well. The thin-walled, uniform wells are designed to promote optimal thermal conductivity for PCR and real-time qPCR applications. A cut corner at well H1 provides orientation. The plate is free from DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and endotoxins. It is compatible with standard multichannel pipettes and is recommended for low-volume PCR protocols. Frame colors are available in purple, blue, clear, green, red, and black, typically paired with clear wells. A configuration with a black frame and white wells is also offered to improve the signal-to-noise ratio in fluorescence-based assays.
