Description

This 384-well PCR plate is engineered for compatibility with the Roche LightCycler® 480 instrument. It features a two-component construction, combining polypropylene wells with a rigid polycarbonate frame. This design minimizes warping and distortion during thermal cycling, which is beneficial for automated handling systems. The plate has a working volume under 30 µl and a total well capacity of 55 µl. Its dimensions are optimized to achieve consistent thermal transfer and assay performance on the specified Roche platform. The wells are thin-walled and ultra-smooth to facilitate efficient PCR and real-time qPCR. The frame's thermal stability helps reduce sample evaporation and improves sealing integrity. A cut corner at positions A24 and P24 aids with orientation. The plate is certified free of contaminants such as DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and endotoxins. It is stackable and includes an alphanumeric grid for sample tracking. Available with clear wells in a clear frame; a version with white wells is offered for enhanced fluorescence detection. Barcoding is available upon request, and the plate can be purchased in combination with a compatible qPCR seal.
