Description

The FrameStar 384-well skirted PCR plate is designed for high-throughput thermal cycling applications, including PCR, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing. It features a two-component construction with ultra-smooth, thin-walled polypropylene wells set into a rigid polycarbonate frame. This design minimizes warping and distortion during temperature cycling, making the plate particularly suitable for automated robotic systems. The plate has a working volume of less than 30 µl and a total well capacity of 55 µl. The rigid frame reduces thermal expansion and sample evaporation, promoting consistency in amplification results. The full skirt allows for barcoding or labeling. Plates are free from DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and endotoxins. An alphanumeric grid aids in sample identification, and the plate is compatible with standard multichannel pipettes. It is available in several frame colors (purple, blue, clear, green, red, black) and with clear, white, or black wells. An ultra-low DNA binding version is offered for sensitive applications requiring maximum nucleic acid recovery.
