Description

This adhesive seal is designed for sealing microplates and tissue culture plates used in cell culture applications. It is a gas-permeable, peelable seal constructed from a non-woven fiber material with an acrylate adhesive layer. The seal prevents contamination and evaporation while allowing for necessary gas exchange, supporting long-term cell culture by enabling cells to 'breathe.' It has a specified seal integrity range from -20°C to 40°C. Key performance metrics include a gas permeability rate of 8,900 m³/m²/day and a low moisture vapor transmission rate of 4,200 g/m²/day. The seal is RNase/DNase free and is supplied in a sheet format measuring 135 x 80 mm. A sterile version (4ti-0517/ST) is available. It is important to note that the paper-based material is not suitable for use in wet conditions. For optimal application and seal integrity, use with a handheld adhesive seal roller is recommended.
