Description

This product is an 8-well PCR tube strip system from Azenta Life Sciences, designed for PCR, qPCR, and NGS workflows. It features a two-component construction: thin-walled 0.2ml polypropylene wells attached to a more rigid polycarbonate frame. This design aims to combine optimal thermal transfer for PCR efficiency with improved mechanical stability and handling compared to single-piece strips. The working volume is less than 200µl, with a total well capacity of 300µl. The strips are certified free of contaminants such as DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and endotoxins. The polypropylene material offers low binding characteristics for biomolecules. Multiple configurations are available, including strips with clear wells in colored frames (purple, blue, green, red, or black) for experiment coding, and strips with white wells in black frames to enhance optical signal in fluorescent assays like qPCR. Users can select either domed cap strips or flat optically clear caps. Some variants include pre-applied 2D barcodes. Each case contains 120 tube strips and 120 corresponding cap strips.
