The 4titude 384 Well Optically Clear Tissue Culture Plate is a specialized microplate designed for cell-based assays and optical detection methods, particularly in high-content screening (HCS) and drug development. It features a black frame and a thin, 190-micrometer clear polystyrene base that provides high optical clarity for bottom-read measurements. The plate is engineered to minimize autofluorescence and optical cross-talk, making it suitable for sensitive homogeneous assays utilizing fluorescence intensity, FRET, and TR-FRET. A key manufacturing feature is the use of laser welding technology to assemble the plate, which reduces background fluorescence and does not inhibit cell growth. For cell-based work, a tissue-culture (TC) treated version (catalog 4ti-0201) is available, which promotes uniform cell adhesion across all wells. The plate is certified free of DNase, RNase, human genomic DNA, and cytotoxic contaminants.
