491Flex™ Interface Module (IM)

Description

The 491Flex Interface Module (IM) is an accessory that ensures stable delivery conditions between a permeation system and an analytical instrument. It contains the necessary components to condition the gas stream exiting the 491Flex permeation modules before it enters a detector or analyzer. A key function is to buffer the system against fluctuations in flow or pressure that may originate from either the permeation system or the analyzer's sample intake. By maintaining constant input conditions for the analyzer, such as consistent pressure and flow stability, the module helps improve the accuracy and repeatability of calibration and measurement procedures. This interface is particularly valuable when connecting flexible, multi-module permeation systems to sensitive analytical equipment that requires a very stable sample stream for reliable operation.
