Description

The Agilent 4200 TapeStation System is an automated electrophoresis platform for the quality control of DNA and RNA samples. It processes samples using disposable ScreenTape devices, enabling unattended analysis of size, concentration, and integrity. The system accommodates flexible batch sizes from 1 to 96 samples, with a throughput of approximately 1 to 2 minutes per sample; a full 96-sample run completes in less than 90 minutes. It supports a wide range of applications, including genomic DNA and cell-free DNA analysis. Operation requires a power supply of 100 to 240 volts AC. Each sample is loaded into an individual lane on the ScreenTape with a dedicated tip, designed to prevent cross-contamination. The system provides standardized integrity metrics like RINe for RNA and DIN for DNA, and it is applicable in next-generation sequencing and biobanking workflows.
