Description

Agilent Technologies' 4150 TapeStation System is a compact, automated electrophoresis instrument for nucleic acid analysis. It utilizes pre-packaged ScreenTape assays to assess the size, concentration, and integrity of DNA and RNA samples, supporting workflows for next-generation sequencing, qPCR, and microarrays. The system can process 1 to 16 samples per run, with a typical total run time of under 20 minutes for a full set. Available assays include those for genomic DNA and cell-free DNA analysis. The instrument has a footprint of 254 by 510 by 417 millimeters (width by depth by height). Its operation is based on established ScreenTape technology, which aims to simplify the workflow by eliminating manual gel preparation. The system provides quantitative metrics such as the RNA Integrity Number equivalent (RINe) and DNA Integrity Number (DIN).
