Description

The 3in1 Box from NETZSCH-Gerätebau GmbH is a storage and handling system designed for use with Concavus sample pans, which are used in heat flux differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The box itself is an anti-static plastic container that holds 96 individual crucibles or lids in an organized array. This packaging method aims to simplify the process of sample pan preparation by preventing the static charge that can cause pans to cling together and become contaminated. The design allows for easy withdrawal of single pans and lids. An included sample identification card provides a means to document samples and corresponding measurement results, supporting an archiving function. The slightly concave geometry of the Concavus pan is intended to create a consistent contact surface with the DSC sensor, which may improve measurement reproducibility. This pan and box system is compatible with various heat-flux DSC instruments, including the DSC 214 Polyma and the DSC 204 F1 Phoenix®.
