Description

This 24-position unheated MICROVAP from Organomation is a compact nitrogen blowdown evaporator that operates at ambient temperature. It is intended for applications where heating is unnecessary or undesirable, such as concentrating volatile compounds or heat-sensitive samples. The unit processes up to 24 test tubes or vials using a stream of nitrogen gas directed through a manifold of stainless steel needles. The gas manifold raises and lowers as one unit to control flow to all samples simultaneously. Each instrument is supplied with a sample block customized to a specific tube diameter, which must be specified when ordering. Its small footprint conserves bench space. The core design is compatible with other MICROVAP system components, permitting conversion to a 15-position setup or a single 96-well microplate evaporator using available conversion kits. Heated, acid-resistant, and Teflon-free model variants are also offered for different analytical requirements.
