Description

The Organomation 24-position MICROVAP is a benchtop nitrogen blowdown evaporator engineered for processing small-volume samples in test tubes or vials. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for laboratories with limited workspace or fume hood capacity. The system operates within a temperature range of 40 to 130°C and is designed to handle up to 24 samples simultaneously. Evaporation is achieved by directing a stream of nitrogen gas through stainless steel needles onto samples seated in a custom-machined aluminum heat block, which is tailored to the user's specific tube dimensions for optimal thermal conductivity. A key feature is the gas distribution manifold, which raises and lowers as a single unit to initiate or halt gas flow to all positions with one motion, ensuring uniform treatment. The digital temperature controller and gas flow meter provide straightforward parameter adjustment. The heater base is shared across the MICROVAP product line, allowing conversion to a 15-position configuration or a single 96-well microplate evaporator with appropriate accessory kits. Options include unheated, acid-resistant, and Teflon-free models for specialized applications such as PFAS analysis.
