Description

This 15-position unheated MICROVAP® from Organomation is a nitrogen blowdown evaporator that functions at ambient temperature. It is intended for the evaporation of solvents from small batches of samples contained in test tubes or vials, with a capacity for 15 tubes per run. The instrument is characterized by its lightweight and compact design, requiring minimal bench space. Unlike heated models, this version operates without applied heat, making it suitable for temperature-sensitive compounds or applications where heating is undesirable. The unit is customized for a specific tube diameter at the time of order; users must specify the required size. It utilizes a gas manifold with needles to distribute nitrogen evenly across all sample positions. The core design allows for potential conversion to other configurations in the MICROVAP line, such as a 24-position tube evaporator or a single-position microplate evaporator, through the use of available conversion kits. Heated, acid-resistant, and Teflon-free model variants are also offered by the manufacturer for different analytical requirements.
