15 position MICROVAP®

Description

The Organomation 15-position MICROVAP® is a benchtop nitrogen blowdown evaporator designed for processing small batches of samples in test tubes or vials. It operates within a temperature range of 40 to 130 °C, allowing for heated evaporation, and can accommodate up to 15 tubes simultaneously. A key feature is its compact footprint, making it suitable for laboratories with limited bench or fume hood space. The unit employs an aluminum heat block for thermal transfer and a gas distribution manifold fitted with stainless steel needles to deliver a continuous, even flow of nitrogen to each sample position. This manifold can be raised or lowered as a single unit, enabling the user to start or stop gas flow to all samples with one motion. The system is supplied with one set of custom-machined heat block inserts tailored to the user's specified tube diameter for optimal heat conduction; additional inserts for other tube sizes are available separately. The heater base is standardized across the MICROVAP product line, permitting conversion to a 24-position or single-position microplate configuration using optional conversion kits. Instrument settings are managed via a digital temperature controller and an integrated gas flow meter.
