Ionscope develops, manufactures and sells systems for scanning ion conductance microscopy (SICM) - a new SPM technique, able to produce images of living cell membranes at a resolution fifty times better than achievable using a conventional optical microscope. Ionoscope's technology has been developed jointly with a team of scientists at Imperial College London and Cambridge University, and it is protected by a portfolio of patent filings. Ionscope is a start-up company, whose shareholders are its founders and the universities.
